Snowbird Outing
I love this picture!
8-22-08
We spent the afternoon at snowbird. My neighbor works for a company where she has to plan all of the conference and the meetings, they use snowbird all the time. So every year they have an appreciation night for the planners. She was nice enough to invite us to go with her.
When we got there we went on the Alpine slide that was alot of fun, Matt was able to go by himself and I took Mason with me. Rick and Marcus went together. Then the kids climbed around on the jumpys. Matt and Marcus were able to do the rock wall. Marcus got up far. Then it was time for dinner. They had bratwurst, Roldan, German vegetable soup, steamed vegetables, and a really good apple strudel. We were so full we had to rest a while before going on any more rides. There was a mechanical bull and Matt was dying to go on it. He did really good, stayed on for almost a minute. Rick also decided to go on it!!! I took a video of him with his cell phone, and it is absolutely the funniest thing I have ever seen in my entire life, but he wont let me have it so I can post it on here. I have to keep asking and maybe he will give in (he, he). The night was winding down and we decided to go on the tram. WOW it was so beautiful at the top of the mountain. We were up 11,000 feet. You could see the Heber valley on one side and the Salt Lake on the other. We took lots of pictures and had a blast together as a family. One last thing, it was all free!!
This is at the top of the tram.

Teeth
Marcus lost his first tooth. It was loose for about 3 weeks. He told me that he would'nt let me pull it out. He wanted daddy to do it. On saturday the 16th we went into my mom and dad's and my little brother and his family were there. He let Uncle Trent pull out his tooth. He was so happy.

No more pink hair
We got the pink hair problem taken care of. My neice wanted to stay blonde but everything we tried did not work. So she went brown. The pink went kind of an aburn color.
( she hates to have her picture taken)

Grandparents
Today was such a good day. We spent the day with my wonderful grandparents. I am so grateful to still have them in our lives. I am grateful that my boys are able to get to spend time with them. They are going to be 85 years old this year. In the winter they go down to Beaver Dam Arizona, and then in the summer they go to their cabin up in Rockport. ( just past Park City). They have four wheelers and the kids were dying to ride them. Papa (that what the great grand kids call him) took them for a ride down to the mail box. Mason was able to drive. I asked him if he had to push any buttons? He said yes and I said what where they for, "One was to go fast, and the other was to go faster!" We played a game called "help your neighbor" its a really fun game. I didn't ever realize how much it helps kids with numbers. I will explain another time how you play the game.
Where they are located there is no land line for phones. They have a cell phone and they have such a hard time trying to use it. They have the volume as high as it can go and they still cant hear it ringing. So they put a tin pie plate on the counter and put the phone on it so that when it rings, maybe it will be a little louder. They are so very cute.

What Teresa Means |
You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You're most comfortable when you're far away from home. You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble. You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together. You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something. You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense. You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun. You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong. You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know. You don't always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don't have as much going for them as you do. You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection. You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive. You have the classic "Type A" personality. |
