Matthew

It is so hard to believe that 12 years ago today I had my first child!!!

Matthew was due on May 31. I was in for the long haul and the Dr. said that he would start me on June 1st. We got to the hospital sometime that day and the got me all hooked up and got things started. The contractions started and I received the epidural. They broke my water around 5pm. My doctor told my family that might as well go out for the night because I was going to be there a long time! (That is something you sure don't want to hear). We labored thru the night and around 6am I was finally ready to start pushing. We tried and tried and nothing was working. Every doctor in the world (so it felt like) came in to see what was going on. My doctor told me that he would not even dare try the forceps for fear that it would hurt the baby. They decided to do a c-section. That was so very scary to me, I had no idea what was going to happen. Matthew was born almost 24 hours after we got started. He weighted 8lbs. 9 0z. He was such a cute little baby. I remember one of the first nights being home, he slept the entire night.

Matthew is growing into a very handsome young man. He is at the age where we are more friends than parent-child. He is a very good helper with his little brothers. He loves to learn new things. He wants to learn to cook and to bake. He is very much into baseball and skateboarding. I am so very proud of him for making the choice to receive the priesthood. I am very thankful to be his mother. I love you Matt!! Happy Birthday son!!!

Randomness

So I was reading back a few post and I wrote something to the effect of "I am really going to try and post more often!" Hahahah that has not worked so well. But I am going on little sleep right now and my mind is going a million miles a minute so I thought I might as well put some of it on paper.

So as most of you know our home is up for sale, we have just been renting and the people who own are wanting to sale it. We so wish that we could go to the bank today and get a loan and make it ours but no such luck. Rick has only been at his job for 1 1/2 months and I know the bank wants more than that. We keep praying everyday that something good will happen and it will all work out the way it is supposed to!

I cant believe how fast this year has gone by! My children are all growing up so fast!
Matthew is going to be turning 12 next month. I am so excited for him to be able to get the priesthood! He is almost done with the 6th grade and very much looking forward to Jr. High

Marcus will be turning 7 next month and he is growing so tall. He has learned so much this year. He loves math and is really good at reading. He is my "mama's boy". He loves to go everywhere with me, even if its just for women he begs me to take him with me.

Mason just turned 5 and is almost as tall as Marcus. We have him already for kindergarten in the fall. He is a very active little guy. He has a really hard time sitting still and staying focused on anyone thing. I am hoping that as he get in school things will get better.

Monson "Aaron" is 7 1/2 months old and learning so much everyday. He can almost crawl on his hands and knees, but he is really good at the inch worm thing. He loves to get into EVERYTHING. As I am typing this ( 11:17 pm) he is in the baby swing and has learned to hold onto the pole and he stops moving. He has his two bottom teeth and I believe more are trying to come in. He loves his brothers very much. Matthew and Rick pretty much fight over him to see who gets to hold him.

Rick is doing really well. He is working at American Express and really enjoys it. He is also still attending school at ITT and looking forward to getting his Associates Degree next summer. He is also joined a gym and trying very hard to loose weight. His clothes are starting to get a little baggy on him. I am very proud of him, and thankful to be his wife!

As for myself, I just signed up to be a Tupperware consultant and I am hoping to get that off the ground and make it a good business. I love being home for my children. I have been crocheting quit a bit lately and learning new things. My calling in church is over Cottage Glen, which is a Assisted Living community in our ward boundaries. I love being with those ladies. They are so very sweet and have so much knowledge to share.

Well that was just as the post said randomness.

New Year

So its been a really long time since I have blogged. Life is just moving by so quickly. I have had many ideas of "New Year's Resolutions" but I have not really started one yet. I want to get better at keeping a Journal. I want to get better at serving others. I want to get better at scripture study. I want to lose weight. I want to learn!!! So with that being said, I need to just do SOMETHING!! So I think each month I will try and learn something new, maybe a new receipie, maybe read a new book, try and sew something. I have enjoyed crocheting lately, I have made about 6 hats and I am going to open a Esty site and sale them. I kind of feel like I am standing still and not moving forward so I need to get busy!!!

Sorry for rambling, so many thoughts.
