Mason and his Duck

I have not been very good at blogging lately, but I could not pass up this cute little story about Mason. Two nights ago he was so sad that he could not find his ducky. He told me that he had gone downstairs and got the scissors and cut him up!! I said no you didn't his stitching just came undone. I told him that we would take him to the "Animal Doctor" and get him fixed. He was crying so hard I could not help but laugh. He was in his bed and holding his duck up in the air and said " I will never forget you!" It put a smile on my face and when we said night time prayers we blessed ducky that he would be better soon, and that made him happy.

So night two comes along and he had to go to bed a little eairler and everyone else because for some reason he was cracky. So I tucked him into bed and read him two books and gave him a kiss and hug. About 5 minutes later he was crying again becuase he could not find his ducky. I asked him where he had it last. He said it was in his room but now it was gone. The last I had seen it was downstairs on the main floor. I told him not to worry mommy would go find him. I went down and for the life of me could not find it. Matt, Marcus and myself looked EVERYWHERE. In the garage, in the backyard and we could not find the ducky. Mason was hysterical by this point. I said to myself what could have happend to it??? About 10 minutes later, Marcus went back to there room and found ducky under Mason's pillow!!! I think I need to find a few more ducks for back up. :)

Time

So what do you do with your time when you seem to have so much of it?? Rick went back to being a "Longhual Driver". He left last Sunday and I all of a sudden have so much time on my hands. Now don't take it the wrong way or anything, I love him so very much. It just seems that when he is not home I guess I make the time to do things that need to get done. If that makes any sense at all. So I am glad last week is over so very busy with 2 birthdays right in a row. I have added a few pictures of some of the things that I have done since Rick hit the road.
Along with making my boys cakes last week, I have a dear sweat neighbor who was having a birthday so I made her a cake as well. I love to bake and come up with new ideas.

I had a ton of fun.
I also planted a garden. Not a very big one, but none the less its in the ground. I put in 3 tomato plants, a cucumber and a squash. I hope that they grow well. I just need to remember to water them. With all of this rain I have not had to. So here is a picture of my beautiful garden.

I have a sister in law who was moving and getting rid of ALOT of things. It was great because I was able to redo my entire eating area. I got a new kitchen table with a leaf in it WOW, we can now all fit comfortably around the table. Then my mother in law had given her a hutch because she didn't have the space to put, so now I have it. It is a very beautiful piece of furniture.
Last but not least we had a family reunion yesterday. We went to Ogden, that is where my dad's side of the family lives. We talked for a bit and then had a nice dinner. The park that we were at had a very large step hill, and the kids thought it would be really fun to roll down the hill. I have to video's but I thought I would only put this one. Pay really close attention towards the end when Matt knock my niece down, and she lands right on his chest. It was really funny to see it happen but then after I felt bad because it took the wind right out of him. But I told him that I am going to send it to AFV and maybe we can win lots of $$$. He smiled at that idea.

Thanks to Lori for teaching my how to put pictures where I wanted them. :)

Marcus turns 5

So here I am again today wishing Marcus a Happy 5 Birthday. Yes my two oldest boys are 5 years and 1 day apart. I have to have children c-section, and the soonest the doctor would take him was June 2. I wanted my children to have their own special day. So today Marcus got to pick what we had for breakfast and he wanted to go have donuts. Then today was the 1st PTA movie so we saw "Hoot". Then we came home and I made his cake. So much fun.

Happy 10 Birthday Matthew
Its hard to imagine that 10 years ago today my "little" Matthew was born. He is such a wonderful son and I am so very proud of him. Matthew has expericenced so many more things in life than children his age. I sometimes wish they can all stay little.
I spent the day making birthday cakes and it was fun. We had a family party on Saturday so that Rick could be home with us. We met all of my family at Golden Coral for dinner, it was lots of fun. Matthew was able to pick what we had for breakfast this morning. We had waffels and sasuage. Matthew's grandparents came out and took him to dinner and to hit a bucket of ball at the golf course. I am so happy to be your mom Matt.

I love you.
