Christmas 2008
Merry Christmas everyone! I know I am a few days behind, but you know me! This year was a hard year for me. Matt went away to his dad's and it is so hard to send him away. His dad lives in Seattle. They have had so much snow this year I was not sure he was going to make it. His original flight was for the 24Th at 3:00 p.m. We got to the airport at 1:00, 35 minutes and 2 dollars later we were on our way out! There were weather delays in Seattle and they wouldn't even put him on the plane. We were rescheduled for the 7:30 flight. We arrived at 6 pm, and he finally got off the ground at 9:15. This time I had to pay 11 dollars to park. While I was waiting my wonderful husband and two little one's where at grandma house for a wonderful party.
(The boys in there Jammie's from grandma)
We had a great Christmas morning and the boys were so very happy! Matt called and said he got everything he had asked for.
Saturday we had a family Christmas party with my mom's side of the family. Her parents have been married for 63 years and have 5 children. Total family member's now are 86 and there were 76 at the party, it was wonderful!! We had lots of fun.
The video is really hard to hear. I am so happy to be part of such a wonderful family.

What could you do with........
OK, so I am making this up as I go. I was talking with a few people tonight and we were talking about how lazy our husbands are when it come to fixing something to eat when we ( the wife) are not home. So I had a thought. If you were given 5 items what could you make out of it. If any of your husbands are game, I want you to ask them what they would make with the same 5 items. I am going to ask mine tomorrow. OK, here are the 5 items.
OK, so I am sure this will be easy for most of you, but lets see how many creative recipes we can come up with. I cant wait to see what our husbands say :)
1. Hamburger
2. Potatoes
3. Vegetables
4. Cream of Mushroom Soup
5. Cheese
OK, so I am sure this will be easy for most of you, but lets see how many creative recipes we can come up with. I cant wait to see what our husbands say :)

My Mason
I am in the kitchen cleaning. I bought some new pink sponges. I am cleaning off the counter and Mason says "Mom, what is that?" I said "It's a sponge." and he said " No mom sponge's are yellow". I guess my kid watches spongebob just a little to much!

My Grandmother
Grandma's Hugs Are Made Of Love!
Everything my grandma doesis something special made with love.
She takes time to add the extra touch that says, "I love you very much."
She fixes hurts with a kiss and smile and tells good stories grandma-style.
It's warm and cozy on her lap for secret telling or a nap.
And when I say my prayers at night I ask God to bless and hold her tight.
Cause when it comes to giving hugs my grandma's arms are filled with love!

Short but Sweet!
Last night Rick was able to come home. He was here for less than 12 hours but it was so wonderful. The boys are suppose to be in bed at 8:30, but because daddy was coming home they got to stay up. At 8:45 Mason is sitting by the front door looking out the window, Matt & Marcus are upstairs with some kind of spy gear binoculars, looking out the window for daddy. Marcus actually got into a argument with Matt saying he saw dad's truck, and Matt said he didn't. He was welcomed home with arms open wide. We got ready for bed and had family prayer, it so nice having him home. Then Mason told daddy he had a cold, and daddy asked if he wanted a blessing. I am so grateful for my husband and for the priesthood that he holds. I love you Rick!

Snowbird Outing
I love this picture!
8-22-08
We spent the afternoon at snowbird. My neighbor works for a company where she has to plan all of the conference and the meetings, they use snowbird all the time. So every year they have an appreciation night for the planners. She was nice enough to invite us to go with her.
When we got there we went on the Alpine slide that was alot of fun, Matt was able to go by himself and I took Mason with me. Rick and Marcus went together. Then the kids climbed around on the jumpys. Matt and Marcus were able to do the rock wall. Marcus got up far. Then it was time for dinner. They had bratwurst, Roldan, German vegetable soup, steamed vegetables, and a really good apple strudel. We were so full we had to rest a while before going on any more rides. There was a mechanical bull and Matt was dying to go on it. He did really good, stayed on for almost a minute. Rick also decided to go on it!!! I took a video of him with his cell phone, and it is absolutely the funniest thing I have ever seen in my entire life, but he wont let me have it so I can post it on here. I have to keep asking and maybe he will give in (he, he). The night was winding down and we decided to go on the tram. WOW it was so beautiful at the top of the mountain. We were up 11,000 feet. You could see the Heber valley on one side and the Salt Lake on the other. We took lots of pictures and had a blast together as a family. One last thing, it was all free!!
This is at the top of the tram.

Teeth
Marcus lost his first tooth. It was loose for about 3 weeks. He told me that he would'nt let me pull it out. He wanted daddy to do it. On saturday the 16th we went into my mom and dad's and my little brother and his family were there. He let Uncle Trent pull out his tooth. He was so happy.

We got the pink hair problem taken care of. My neice wanted to stay blonde but everything we tried did not work. So she went brown. The pink went kind of an aburn color.

Grandparents
Today was such a good day. We spent the day with my wonderful grandparents. I am so grateful to still have them in our lives. I am grateful that my boys are able to get to spend time with them. They are going to be 85 years old this year. In the winter they go down to Beaver Dam Arizona, and then in the summer they go to their cabin up in Rockport. ( just past Park City). They have four wheelers and the kids were dying to ride them. Papa (that what the great grand kids call him) took them for a ride down to the mail box. Mason was able to drive. I asked him if he had to push any buttons? He said yes and I said what where they for, "One was to go fast, and the other was to go faster!" We played a game called "help your neighbor" its a really fun game. I didn't ever realize how much it helps kids with numbers. I will explain another time how you play the game.
Where they are located there is no land line for phones. They have a cell phone and they have such a hard time trying to use it. They have the volume as high as it can go and they still cant hear it ringing. So they put a tin pie plate on the counter and put the phone on it so that when it rings, maybe it will be a little louder. They are so very cute.
